The honest part, up front.
Mental-health support only earns trust by being clear about what it is – and what it isn't. Here's exactly where AITherapist helps, where it stops, and how we protect you.
AITherapist is not a crisis service.
If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach a person now. In the US, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline – call or text 988 – or call 911 for any emergency.
Outside the US, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line near you. You deserve real, human support – and it's available.
- Connects to your licensed therapist (with your consent) so care stays consistent between sessions.
- Offers a calm space to talk and think things through.
- Guides journaling and mood check-ins so you notice patterns.
- Shares coping and grounding exercises when you need them.
- Points toward human help – the 988 Lifeline and licensed therapists.
- Keeps your reflections private and yours.
- Never gives a diagnosis.
- Never prescribes or recommends specific medication.
- Never replaces a licensed therapist.
- Never handles emergencies – always use 988 or 911.
- Never sells your data or shows you ads.
What you share stays yours.
Conversations about your inner life are about as personal as it gets. We're building AITherapist to treat them that way.
Encrypted & protected
Your conversations and journals are being built to be encrypted in transit and at rest.
Never sold, never ads
We design the product so we can't sell your data or mine it for advertising. That's a line we won't cross.
You're in control
You choose what to share and can delete your data. Your reflections belong to you.
About connecting your therapist: the therapist link is opt-in and consent-based. You decide whether to connect, exactly what is shared back (such as mood trends and summaries), and you can pause or unlink at any time. Sharing your information with a clinician you choose is being built to align with HIPAA-grade privacy practices – and it never happens without your explicit consent.
Pre-launch, and saying so.
We'd rather under-promise. AITherapist is in development – here's our honest status.
In development today
We're building the reflective conversation, journaling, and coping tools, and shaping them with mental-health advisors.
Safety & privacy next
Careful crisis-awareness, privacy practices, and review are part of the road to launch. AITherapist is not a medical device and is not FDA-cleared.
